The Team
| Leadership within the Church At Christ Community Church we are looking to build church the way they did it in the Bible. In the New Testament, there were two types of leadership within the church. Firstly there were elders (also called ‘overseers’ or ‘pastors’), men who took the ultimate responsibility for leading, teaching, caring for and protecting the church. Secondly there were ‘deacons’, men and women who worked alongside the elders to help them, by running and co-ordinating various aspects of church life.Cf. Acts 20:28; 1 Pet 5:2; Heb 13:17 | ||||
| Christ Community Church is currently an emerging situation and as a result our leadership structures are not fully developed. We are still under the leadership and guidance of the regional Newfrontiers team. At a church level we currently have one main leadership team within the church called the ‘Emerge Team’. The Emerge TeamIn September 07 Adam Bradley has been meeting with the Emerge Team to look at key leadership responsibilities such as vision, values, pastoral care, teaching responsibilities and general key leadership issues within the church. Over contiuing months the Emerge team has been taking on greater responsibility within the church and has been continually developing and functioning as the core leadership team of the Church. During the months of 2009 Adam and his family were called onto leadership at Nene family church in Peterborough. From this, with the support of regional elders, the Emerge team has reshuffled to accomodate continual leadership with a new leader in Rob Tervet, who we trust with faith, together with the Emerge team to see the church move in to the next exiting season to share the gospel & glorify Gods name in this community.
