Childrens Work

Children are a part of the main church body, they should feel welcome and able to participate. Although younger children may not understand all they see and here, they can enjoy being in the presence of others engaged in worship. We encourage parents to help their children by explaining what is happening during the meeting. For example, when a word is shared from the front, encourage your children to listen and explain to them when necessary. 

Our vision for the children is to see them know God for themselves and grow in their knowledge and experience of him in an enjoyable and fun environment.

Childrens Groups

We currently have 3 age-based groups for our children.

Bubbles – (Pre-school)

Splash – YR-Y2

X-Stream – Y3+

We aim to introduce all the children to simple biblical truth, through Bible stories, songs, activities and play. Our work is being built on strong biblical foundations and it is our heart to provide an environment in which children can ask questions, find answers and come to know Jesus for themselves.

We currently use a set of notes and resources published by Scripture Union, however our leaders will use and adapt these to the needs and character of each group.

As with our younger Raindrops group, all leaders and helpers in each of our groups has been police checked and cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).

Raindrops

Raindrops is our crèche group. We offer facilities for all children from 0 to 3.

As well as providing baby and toddler toys for ‘free play’, we try to provide some simple structured activities for older toddlers each week, these are a simple introduction to looking at a story from the Bible and include basic activities on this theme. We believe it is never too early for children to begin hearing about Jesus.

Parents are welcome to leave their children in the care of the Raindrops team but are also welcome to stay and join the fun. All those on the team have been police checked and cleared by the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau).
