Lack understanding of your faith?
Little time to study? This course is just for you!
Why?
Wordplus gives everyone the opportunity to do systematic, biblical theological training without having to give up work or other commitments.
What?
Wordplus is an excellent training tool from newfrontiers to equip Christians with sound biblical knowledge and to think biblically. It uses an accessible, proven framework to get to grips with the Old and New Testaments, foundational doctrines and church history.
The 10 modules are:
- The Old Testament
- The Greatness of God
- Church HIstory
- The Spirit and the Word
- Man’s fall and God’s Grace
- The Work of Christ
- The New Testament
- Ephesians
- The Kingdom and the Church
- The Future
Each of the 10 modules will take 4 Tuesday evenings. You can take as little or many of the modules as you like.
Where?
Wordplus is being hosted by newfrontiers churches in Norfolk at two bases: Wellspring Family Centre in Dereham and Jubilee Family Centre in Aylsham.
You can choose to complete the course at either Dereham or Aylsham or, because the dates are staggered, you can choose to fast track the course by attending both bases.
When?
The Word Plus course is continuous rolling programme between the two bases.
How much?
The cost for the first 5 modules is £45, or £10 per module.
How do I apply?
Download an application form. For more information about the course and how to apply email Jon Beardon or call 01362 854581.
Gap Year
Are you looking for the opportunity to grow in a pioneering church planting environment?
If so we’ve got something for you!
- Gap year training
- Church based research projects
- Summer holiday ministry opportunities
- Move and join the church!
A few words from a previous gap year Student:
“Life can be very busy and varied in the world of church planting! Children’s and youth work are big areas of responsibility and any future gap year student may find himself or herself helping out with anything from busy mornings at Sparklers (parent and toddler group) to equally busy evenings meeting young people on the streets. Be prepared to gain a wealth of experience with regard to working with children and young people! The beauty of having a year out with Christ Community Church is that it can be tailor-made. There are so many things going on, thereby enabling different skills and interests to be developed in an individual. For the computer obsessives out there, there’s the chance to have free reign with the computer or PA side of things on Sunday and to work on the songs and the website during the week. If you prefer writing and designing, then there are always opportunities to do such things as creating flyers for events and updating the news-sheet. Working with ‘The Lighthouse’ (our charitable trust) policy committee, can give a student or new graduate useful experience in project management, whilst s/he makes a difference to how the community is served in the upcoming year. Lastly, but most importantly, a gap year in a pioneering church planting environment will provide a unique chance for your faith to grow by leaps and bounds!”
